OUR EVERLASTING COMMITMENT
Safas shares the sustainability principles adopted by the Group. Aware of the effects of its entrepreneurial activity on economic and social development and consequently on the general well-being of the community, it has an interest in being socially accepted by the communities in which it operates. With this aim, we intend to operate in respect of local and national communities, and contribute to raising awareness on the issue of sustainable development, managing our activities and the properties entrusted to them in an environmentally friendly way, with consideration for the rights of future generations.
SAFAS AND SOCIAL INVOLVEMENT
The acquisition of a production unit in Tunisia has allowed us to support an aid program in the area for orphaned children and for schooling in depressed areas of the country. We are also involved in the renovation of a school north of Tunis towards the border with Algeria.
COMMITMENT TO PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
Safas pays utmost attention to protecting the environment and the heritage of natural resources.
The ambitious goal of using only renewable energy for its plants was achieved in 2017: today, in fact, all the energy used by the group comes from its own hydroelectric and solar plants.
The management of production processes and plants is also based on principles of environmental sustainability.

WORKER SAFETY AND HEALTH
Protecting the psychophysical integrity of our workers is of the highest priority for the Group, which is committed to maintaining the most appropriate prevention and protection measures for safety and health on a daily basis.
We are also active in ongoing research programs of innovative techniques to improve working conditions.
